Linux System Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux system engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Patching Linux servers using yum and resolving issues related to patching
  • General OS troubleshooting skills, including performance analysis, log analysis, disk-related issues, and alert remediation
  • Extensive hands-on experience with bash or other scripting for automation
  • Knowledge of SFTP, basic network troubleshooting, and tomcat
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including spinning up EC2 instances, patching in AWS, SSM, security groups, and disk expansions using AWS tools
  • Supporting day-to-day operational issues and runtime operations
  • Communicating complex topics to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in computer science
  • AWS certification is an added plus
  • Redhat certification is an added plus
