We are seeking an experienced Linux administrator to fill this critical role.

About the Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who excels in providing expert-level support and administration of Linux systems, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of RHEL or RHEL-based distros like CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Alma Linux.
  • Setting up and managing local file systems (ext4, XFS), shared file systems (NFS), and maintaining them, including troubleshooting issues related to them.
  • Configuring and maintaining Linux networking, including setting up network interfaces, routing, firewalls (iptables), and troubleshooting network issues at the OS level.
  • Managing Linux/Unix user management, local/LDAP/NIS, and integrating external user databases like AD with Linux.
  • Maintaining hands-on experience with Ansible and scripting (bash or Python).
  • Experienced in monitoring tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, SolarWinds, and ticketing tools like JIRA, GitHub/GitLab issues.
  • Quickly understanding new concepts and technologies, along with good troubleshooting and analyzing skills to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and git repository hosting websites like GitHub, as well as basic understanding of DevOps concepts and DevOps tools like Jenkins/GitLab.
  • Basic knowledge and some exposure to major cloud service providers (AWS/Azure/GCP) is required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with RHEL or RHEL-based distros like CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Alma Linux.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux networking, including setup and maintenance of network interfaces, routing, and firewalls (iptables).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
