Job Title: Emerging Business Opportunities

We are seeking an innovative and strategic professional to drive business growth by identifying emerging technologies, new business models, and untapped market opportunities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Opportunity Discovery & Landscape Analysis: Conduct continuous scanning of the IoT ecosystem to identify emerging trends, new business models, competitor moves, and untapped market whitespaces.
    • Develop insightful research reports on long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to the current business.
    • Market Validation & Feasibility Assessment: Design and execute validation processes for new opportunity hypotheses using primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.
    • Develop robust financial models and business cases to assess market size, potential ROI, and strategic value of new opportunities.
    • Strategic Incubation & Business Building: For opportunities that pass validation, lead the initial incubation phase including defining product-market fit, building MVPs or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.
    • Coordinate cross-functional resources to accelerate the incubation process.
    • Ecosystem Engagement: Build a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.
    • Strategic Communication: Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership to inform investment decisions.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree: In Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
    • Experience: 5+ years in strategy roles like corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
    • Skills: Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects. Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers. Analytical and financial modeling skills, ability to build business cases from scratch.
    • Personal Qualities: Exceptional strategic thinking, ability to thrive in ambiguity, developing structure around poorly defined problems. Outstanding communication and storytelling skills.
    Preferred:

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through to launch.
