Job Title: ADA / PDF Accessibility Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team in delivering exceptional accessibility services for government and enterprise clients.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the end-to-end accessibility delivery process, ensuring seamless integration with design, development, and QA teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits of websites, portals, LMS, documents, and multimedia content to identify accessibility gaps.
  • Perform real-user testing using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and mobile responsiveness to ensure accessible experiences.
  • Provide clear and prioritized fixes, as well as hands-on remediation support for PDFs, Office documents, videos, and multimedia content.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement accessible coding practices, including ARIA, semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Prepare VPATs/ACRs and client-facing accessibility conformance documentation.
  • Offer expert guidance on ADA, Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and emerging US/state accessibility laws.
  • Support quarterly monitoring and ongoing compliance programs.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508.
  • Hands-on experience with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, ARIA, CSS3, and JavaScript (React/Angular a plus).
  • Excellent documentation/reporting skills (audit findings, VPAT/ACR).
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or higher education contracts preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

  • IAAP CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility).
  • IAAP WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist).
  • IAAP ADS (Accessible Document Specialist).
  • DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester.
  • IAAP CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies).
