Job Title: Community Development Specialist

\

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Community Development Specialist. This role will play a critical part in the implementation of community-based projects, fostering partnerships, and advocating for positive change.

\

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • The timely rollout and execution of community development projects, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Track and ensure quality delivery of detailed implementation plans (DIPs).
  • Collaborate with program lead and internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution.
  • Encourage innovative approaches in project activities.
  • Address operational challenges promptly in coordination with the program coordinator and Program Lead.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and ensure goals are met.
  • Foster community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in all project activities.

Develop Partnerships and Advocacy:

\
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels across private, government, academic, and NGO sectors.
  • Increase project visibility among government and other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to align stakeholder activities with project goals.
  • Represent the project at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums.
  • Participate in advocacy efforts at district and state levels to drive impactful change.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

\
  • Graduate in Social Work/ Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Social Sciences/Any degree with NGO experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
  • Fluency in English, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
