Operations Manager for Furniture Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at MNC Group in Palghar Unit 3. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and solving day-to-day issues related to production.

Job Description
  • Manage direct reports and their activities, including overall performance management, training and development, analyzing and resolving work problems, and discipline.
  • Lead teams to achieve goals, promote effective communication, and foster a positive culture.
  • Engage in special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.

Responsibilities
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor operation and maintenance expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and preventing downtime.
    • Monitor manufacturing expenditures and report variances to the Plant head on a monthly basis.
  • Human Resources:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
    • Create HR plans and implement them with the HR team.
    • Labour management and Maintenance:
      • Oversee maintenance teams and ensure all machines have 99% uptime.
      • Troubleshoot matters related to vendors, parts, etc.
    • Security:
      • Create, implement, and monitor security plans related to plant, material, and equipment.
      • Ensure enough precautions are taken to avoid pilferage and create controls and processes where needed.
    • Stores and Inventory Management:
      • Create ideal stock levels at all times in the store.
      • Directly report store team to ensure safety stock orders, indents, and other parameters are under control.
    • Order Processing and Supply Chain Coordination:
      • Manage Order Processing teams to ensure BOMs and Production orders are created within respective TAT.
      • Solve and escalate order processing team tasks when required.
    • Project Management and Facility Planning:
      • Lead and manage civil, electrical, plumbing works for production and non-production areas.
      • Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely closure within budget.
    • MIS and Task Management:
      • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.
      • Follow up diligently on factory tasks and serve as a task master.
    • Negotiation Liaisoning:
      • Maintain a positive working relationship with regulatory agencies and local government authorities.
      • Ensure all legal compliance.

Please note that we are offering a competitive salary range of ₹10 lakhs - ₹15 lakhs per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
