Job Title

A Senior Operations Coordinator is required to oversee the import and export departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating operations, ensuring timely and accurate processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate imports and exports, focusing on efficiency and quality.
  • Safeguard shipments while complying with regulations.
  • Mentor junior team members, reviewing performance metrics and providing feedback.
  • Address exceptions during shipment processes, acting as a problem-solving expert.
  • Deliver coaching sessions, fostering a growth mindset among team members.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
  • Foster collaboration with service providers.
  • Set goals for the team using established indicators.
  • Manage accounting matters to maximize revenue and staff performance.
  • Lead operations teams, maintain adequate staffing levels, and conduct quarterly performance reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of freight forwarding procedures and financials: TSA, CBP, IATA, FMC, BIS.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred: Commerce, International Trade, Logistics).
  • At least 5 years of industry-related experience with preference to freight forwarding.
  • 2+ years of team management experience, including managing team leads or shift managers.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Attention to detail, data integrity, and customer service mindset.
  • Results-driven individual.
  • Effective communication and multitasking skills.
