Job Title: Director of Sales - India CPG/Retail Market

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts in the dynamic and fast-growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG/Retail) market in India Region/market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored specifically to the unique characteristics of the India Region/market.
  • Identify Emerging Trends: Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities to drive revenue growth and increase market penetration.
  • Expand Market Presence: Expand our presence in existing markets and explore new market entry opportunities within the region.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor product offerings and marketing strategies to meet the needs of the India Region/market.

Sales Team Leadership:

  • Recruit and Train Sales Team: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team capable of achieving ambitious sales targets within the region.
  • Set Sales Targets: Set clear sales targets and performance metrics for the team, and provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure success.
  • Foster a Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the sales team.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Develop Accurate Forecasts: Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets based on market analysis and sales trends within India Region/market.
  • Monitor Sales Performance: Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Implement Corrective Actions: Implement corrective actions as needed to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with Marketing and Product Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives.
  • Develop Localized Sales Collateral: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop localized sales collateral, marketing materials, and promotional campaigns for the India Region/market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the CPG/Retail industry, with a focus on the India Region/market.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in India Region/market.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a multicultural sales team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that are tailored to the India Region/market.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends specific to India Region/market.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the India Region/market as needed.
