Job Title: Operational Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of port activities, ensuring efficient equipment control and minimizing service failures. With a strong background in managing teams and external agencies, this individual will effectively coordinate with principals, vendors, and government bodies to optimize revenue.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to organize and control operational activities, allocate capacity to maximize revenue, and enforce cost-effectiveness while maintaining customer satisfaction. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to improve operational procedures, and innovate services to drive growth.

The job requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to enforce operational standards, manage teams, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling all operations to guarantee customer satisfaction and office administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate from a premier institute with 18-20 years of post-qualification experience in handling and managing port operations
  • Master Mariners preferred
  • Experience in handling Container/Bulk/Break Bulk/Project Cargo/Lifts on-Lifts off/RoRo operations
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of operational procedures and systems
  • Experience in team management and coordination
