Accounting Expertise Sought

We are looking for a highly skilled accounting professional to fill the role of Accounts Payable Specialist. This position is part of our efforts to streamline and optimize our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments with precision and accuracy, adhering to all relevant compliance regulations.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, updates, and issue resolution in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Support the month-end close process, accruals, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and internal teams for accurate invoice coding and approvals.
  • Prepare payments through checks, ACH, and wire transfers while ensuring seamless execution.
  • Maintain adherence to U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations throughout AP processes.
  • Track payment schedules and closely monitor cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with exposure to U.S.-based accounting practices.
  • Experience in the U.S. real estate sector is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with Yardi experience being a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
