Key Job Responsibilities
  • Risk Identification & Assessment:
  • Identify risks across business processes and systems, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
  • Support risk assessments, including periodic reviews, to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Control Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in control monitoring efforts, working in partnership with process owners to test controls and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct quality assurance and process testing to proactively identify intervention opportunities.
  • Risk Reporting & Analysis:
  • Compile thematic risk reports, identifying key trends, causes, and emerging risks.
  • Develop and maintain risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Control Improvement & Process Mapping:
  • Map controls against risks and processes, supporting cross-functional process-control mapping efforts.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Continuous Risk Management:
  • Maintain risk profiles, an updated risk register, and track key risk trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within a risk or internal audit function.
  • Knowledge of the operational risk management lifecycle, including risk identification, control testing, and reporting.
  • Skills & Expertise:
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Familiarity with process governance, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience:
  • Experience in identifying operational risks across business processes and systems.
  • Facilitating risk assessments and conducting additional testing programs.
  • Hands-on experience supporting control monitoring and recommending improvements.
  • Compiling thematic risk reporting to deliver actionable insights.
