Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to provide support for the implementation of operational risk policies and processes, contributing to a robust operational risk management framework that ensures strong organizational resilience. As a second line of defense, this role will provide independent and effective assurance over operational risk controls to safeguard the organization's assets, reputation, and long-term sustainability.

This position involves leading the development and execution of business continuity and resiliency strategies to enhance the organization's ability to withstand and recover from crises such as cyber threats, operational incidents, and other disruptions across processes and technologies. Additionally, projects related to managing operational risk, including third-party risk management, reputational risk, and data privacy, may be assigned from time to time as per business requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and communication of risk policies and procedures across business units.
  • Conduct RCSA and control testing for relevant departments.
  • Support on delivering ongoing thematic reviews of processes and business areas.
  • Support the function in tracking and evaluating root cause and overseeing remedial action for Operational Risk Events & Issues.
  • Monitor ongoing Key Risk Indicators, actions recorded on Risk Events and Issues.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) & Risk Assessment Programs enterprise-wide.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • MBA or equivalent degree with 5+ years' experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of operational processes in the life insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in operational risk management and mitigation or in business strategy with a focus on operations processes is desirable.
