Director of Data Migration and Automation

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the migration of data from various Intellectual Property (IP) solutions to our software platform as part of the implementation team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading data migration projects in the context of software implementation, a deep understanding of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices, and familiarity with automation tools and technologies, as well as database management systems and data integration platforms.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of Data Migration specialists, guiding them in analyzing, mapping, and transforming data to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.

In this role, you will spearhead the development of automation systems, streamlining data migration tasks and enhancing overall efficiency. You will also engage directly with clients to understand their specific data migration requirements, preferences, and challenges.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead a team of Data Migration specialists, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to execute data migration projects effectively.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Develop comprehensive data mapping and transformation plans to align data from other IP solutions in the market with the data model of the company's software solution.
  • Automation System Development: Design, architect, and build an automation system for mapping, transforming, and migrating data from legacy systems to the company's software solution.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Establish specialized quality assurance processes and test cases tailored to IP data migration, including validation of patent, trademark, and copyright information.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage directly with clients to understand their specific data migration requirements, preferences, and challenges.

Requirements include:

  • 10+ years of experience in leading data migration projects in the context of software implementation.
  • Deep understanding of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and technologies, as well as database management systems and data integration platforms.
  • Experience in the Intellectual Property (IP) domain or related industries is highly desirable.
