Network Infrastructure Specialist

The Network Infrastructure Specialist role at LTS involves managing and maintaining the organization's active network infrastructure. This includes ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the network while maintaining up-to-date documentation and performing firmware updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Management & Monitoring:
    • Monitor and manage LAN and WAN performance to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
    • Administer and troubleshoot Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) switches.
    • Configure and maintain VLANs and ensure proper segmentation.
    • Administer Internet Lease Line (ILL), MPLS, Broadband.
    • Administer the DHCP, DNS Servers along with Server admin.
  • Firewall & Security Administration:
    • Configure and manage firewalls, including rule creation, VPN setup, site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN, internet sharing, and NAT configurations.
    • Monitor and manage IDS/IPS systems to ensure robust network security.
    • Coordinate with vendors wherever next-level support is required and get the issue resolved in a timely manner.
    • Escalate and involve higher management wherever required.
  • WiFi Administration:
    • Deploy, configure, and maintain WiFi access points to ensure strong and reliable connectivity.
  • Proactive Maintenance:
    • Conduct firmware and software updates for switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
    • Regular backup of the configuration.
    • Perform periodic network health checks and capacity planning to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
    • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve escalated network issues.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, inventory, and configurations.
    • Prepare reports on network performance and incidents.
  • Compliance & Best Practices:
    • Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the network architecture.
