Job Title: Passive Network Infrastructure Specialist

    We are seeking a skilled Passive Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at LTS. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and management of our passive network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cabling Management:
    • Design, install, and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, etc.).
    • Perform IO Termination, RJ45 Crimping, and patch code connections.
    • Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and documentation.
    • Diagnose and resolve cabling-related connectivity issues.
  • CCTV System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and storage solutions.
    • Perform regular checks to ensure CCTV systems are operational and recording as required.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware or connectivity issues in surveillance systems.
  • Passive Network Infrastructure:
    • Install and maintain patch panels, racks, and network outlets.
    • Manage and monitor network components like patch cords and cable trays for organization and efficiency.
    • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure the physical infrastructure meets performance and safety standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of cabling layouts, CCTV deployments, and asset inventory.
    • Prepare and update passive network diagrams and reports.
    • Document troubleshooting activities and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine checks and maintenance on cabling, CCTV, and related passive components.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Coordinate with active network teams for connectivity requirements and issues.
    • Work with vendors and service providers for installation, upgrades, and repairs.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Diploma or degree in any field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in passive network installation and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with structured cabling systems (UTP, STP, fiber optics).
    • Expertise in IO Termination, RJ45 Crimping, and network cabling troubleshooting.
    • Experience with CCTV system installation and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with network hardware like patch panels, racks, and cabling tools.
    • Standards Knowledge: Knowledge of cabling standards like EIA/TIA and ISO/IEC.
    • AdditionallKnowledge: Familiarity with power backup solutions for passive components (UPS, power distribution units).
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
