Product Launch Manager Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the product launch process, ensuring timely execution from concept to market introduction.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong program management skills, able to handle multiple concurrent projects and drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of appliance product development, preferably in water purifiers/home appliances/consumer electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management
    • Lead NPI projects for multiple water purifier products, establishing clear timelines, cost targets, and quality metrics across the product lifecycle.
    • Own project governance, stage-gate reviews, and risk management frameworks, ensuring seamless collaboration between R&D, design, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, service, and marketing teams.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver on product specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements, driving supplier and vendor engagement during development and ramp-up.
    • Foster open communication, aligning cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Product Development & Validation
    • Evaluate DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) and DFX principles in the design stage, overseeing prototyping, pilot builds, and validation testing (performance, reliability, regulatory compliance).
    • Track issue resolution during EVT, DVT, and PVT phases, ensuring efficient problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Operational Readiness
    • Prepare production readiness with manufacturing teams, including process validation, line setup, and yield improvement, optimizing costs through value engineering and supplier development.
    • Ensure smooth handover to operations post-launch, guaranteeing continuity and efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Develop and refine NPI processes, tools, and best practices tailored for consumer appliance development, monitoring post-launch performance (quality, service feedback, cost metrics) and driving iterative improvements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong program management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding expectations.
  • Deep understanding of appliance product development, preferably in water purifiers/home appliances/consumer electronics, with knowledge of plastic parts, filtration technologies, electronics integration, pumps/valves, and assembly processes.
  • Hands-on experience in DFMA, validation testing, regulatory certifications (ROHS, ISI, BIS, NSF, etc.), and quality management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities, with strong communication and documentation skills.
