Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the product launch management team, overseeing all aspects of product launches across various portfolio segments. The successful candidate will support new product development project management and collaborate closely with cross-functional and regional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.

  • Partner with regional leaders and key functions to ensure timely adherence to product milestones.
  • Drive excellence in launch management to achieve successful execution.
  • Collaborate with regional heads to deliver accurate data on product timelines and replenishment plans.
  • Lead cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.
  • Provide inputs for product decisions, identifying dependencies and implications.
  • Implement best practices in product launch management, using dashboards, templates, and tools for efficient planning and execution.
  • Facilitate alignment and accountability within regional and corporate functions to meet business objectives.
  • Manage product launch calendars, optimize governance processes, and partner with senior management as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication of product launch status across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain integrated product launch plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders within and outside the company.
  • Foster talent through coaching, performance management, and setting clear expectations.
  • Oversee a team of planners and launch managers.
  • Have a strong understanding of oncology/specialty products in Europe and emerging markets.
  • Provide insights on customer preferences and product potential in the European market.
  • Assess go-to-market strategies and support local teams in customer profiling, target setting, and channel planning.
  • Manage the end-to-end commercial aspects of product launches, from demand generation to supply planning.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree or higher (e.g., MS, MBA) in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management certification is beneficial.
  • 20+ years in planning, product launch, or a related role in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of planning, product development, regulatory processes, and launch management.
  • Familiarity with pre-clinical, clinical, CMC, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at driving decisions and solving issues within an organization.
