Job Overview

The Placement Director is a key position responsible for preparing students for successful placements and ensuring the efficient placement of students in programs.

This role requires a target-driven individual with strong connections to corporates for campus recruitment, excellent negotiation skills, and effective communication abilities.

The Director will lead engagement activities from the pre-placement stage through the placement procedure and monitor progress. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining industry connections with private sector companies, startups, recruitment firms, and HR Consultants in the NCR region.
  • Fostering relationships with Industry Associations, Forums, and Industry Captains.
  • Staying updated on online communities and social media platforms.
  • Nurturing networks through job portals and technology platforms.
  • Interacting regularly with industries regarding career opportunities and employment trends.
  • Collaborating with other resources and institutions, including government-affiliated bodies.
  • Identifying internship opportunities (6 months, 6-8 weeks) for students as required.
  • Managing complete placement data, including internships and placements.
  • Preparing detailed reports from placement data for periodical reviews.
  • Adapting to flexible and extended time requirements as needed.
  • Organizing interaction programs on career opportunities within the university and external agencies.
  • Tracking application forms, pre-screening candidates, shortlisting, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintaining accurate records of applicants' information in electronic and digital formats.

Training Support

  • Developing Skill Lab Orientation programs.
  • Ensuring student enrollment in the Career Service Tech platform by coordinating with academic institutions.
  • Conducting training programs at various academic institutions.
  • Collaborating with subject experts and learning engagement coaches to revise and update curriculums.
  • Providing feedback on methodologies in the training process.
  • Oversight and management of the Digitally Enabled Platform.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

Essential: A Bachelor's degree in management, human resources, business administration, or a related field.

Desirable: Postgraduate degree in management, human resources, business administration, or a related field.

Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in the placement process, such as placement portals, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and HR software.

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in corporate placements in the NCR region.
