Structural Integrity Specialist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Integrity Specialist to perform stress analysis of complex aircraft structures using classical methods.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from part and assembly drawings.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of static design values from industry standards such as ISAMI, GFEM, and DFEM.
  • You will develop and refine Finite Element Models (FEMs) using geometric data to analyze structural behavior.
  • Conduct sizing of primary and secondary structures to meet static requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Extract fastener loads and perform detailed joint analysis, calculating Reserve Factors (RF) for various failure modes, including Strength, Buckling, Shear panel failure.
  • Implement low RF mitigations using classical or numerical methods to enhance structural integrity.
  • Prepare comprehensive stress certification dossiers, including ACD4 and SSR reports, for submission to relevant authorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain the highest level of integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform stress analysis of complex aircraft structures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in stress analysis and structural integrity.
  • Deep understanding of static design values from industry standards.
  • Proficient in Finite Element Modeling (FEM) software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
