Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and securing the organization's Windows-based systems and servers. This role entails maintaining system performance, implementing robust security measures, and supporting our overarching cybersecurity strategy.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and user access controls to maintain secure access and authentication.
  • Security Implementation:
    • Implement and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures for Windows systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Regularly apply security patches, updates, and hotfixes to Windows servers to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
    • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Incident Response:
    • Respond to security incidents and breaches involving Windows systems, conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to develop and implement incident response plans.
  • Network Configuration:
    • Configure and manage network services on Windows servers, including DNS, DHCP, and VPN, to ensure secure communication and data transfer.
    • Ensure secure network configuration and compliance with industry standards.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as NIST and HIPAA.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
    • Prepare detailed reports on system performance and security status for management and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the cybersecurity, IT, and network teams to ensure cohesive security measures and effective communication.
    • Provide support and guidance to team members on Windows-related issues and best practices.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency, utilizing tools like PowerShell.
    • Utilize automation to streamline processes and reduce manual errors.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to users and staff on Windows systems and security best practices to promote awareness and compliance.
    • Ensure all users understand their roles in maintaining system security and adhere to security protocols.
