Job Title: Mainframe COBOL Developer

We are seeking a skilled professional to develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL programming and experience with JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality COBOL applications that meet business requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Create and maintain efficient JCL scripts to manage batch jobs for data processing.
  • Design and develop effective DB2 queries to interact with databases, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Work with VSAM files to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain CICS-based applications, ensuring seamless communication between online programs and data resources.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in mainframe COBOL development.
  • Strong knowledge of JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
