Senior Technical Solutions Architect

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader to spearhead the development and support of high-availability, secure financial applications.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical oversight, conduct code/design reviews, and enforce quality assurance standards.
  • Evaluate business requirements to develop scalable and secure solutions.
  • Guide teams in the development, deployment, and maintenance of web-based enterprise applications.

Technical Requirements:

  • Lead architecture, design, and development using Java (JSP, Struts, EJB).
  • Review and approve technical specifications, designs, and architecture artifacts.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, design patterns, and maintainability.
  • Drive event-driven architecture implementation for real-time systems.
  • Integrate and deploy on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Apache, Tomcat environments.
  • Implement messaging and asynchronous communication via IBM MQ.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data access on IBM DB2.

Application Development & Maintenance:

  • Develop high-quality software using JSP, Struts, EJB, and event-driven architecture.
  • Oversee integration and deployment on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Tomcat, Apache environments.
  • Implement messaging and event processing using IBM MQ.
  • Optimize backend operations with IBM DB2 and complex SQL queries.
  • Maintain platform scalability, availability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.

Platform Management:

  • Manage core modules such as Investor and Broker eServices Platforms, Electronic Contract Note (ECN) Management, Securities Settlements and Depository Applications, Corporate Actions.

DevOps and QA:

  • Set up and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Anchors the Quality Assurance team for test strategy, QA reviews, and quality compliance.
  • Manage Level 3 support, bug fixing, and performance optimization.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Depositories, Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs), Brokers, Banks, and other regulated entities.

Governance and Reviews:

  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Java (JSP, Struts, EJB), event-driven architecture, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including IBM DB2.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
