Piping Design Engineer Role

Job Overview:

  • Lead piping design and layout activities for complex engineering projects, driving efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and review piping GA drawings, isometrics, MTOs, and support drawings to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, etc.) to foster effective collaboration.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and industry standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Handle global client interactions professionally, capturing requirements and delivering effective design solutions that meet expectations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors for equipment/piping interface requirements, ensuring seamless integration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma, Degree in Engineering, or relevant qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in piping design principles.
  • Experience: 4–12 years (or relevant senior-level experience) in piping design, showcasing expertise and adaptability.

Software Skills (Must Have):

  • AutoCAD Plant 3D, leveraging its capabilities for efficient design and modeling.
  • Recap, utilizing its features for data management and analysis.
  • Navisworks Manage, applying its tools for clash detection and resolution.
  • Experience with parametric modeling tools, enhancing design flexibility and accuracy.
  • Ai Tools (any), staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Marine/Offshore projects, offering valuable experience and insights.
  • Strong knowledge of piping design codes and standards, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Hands-on expertise in layout planning, routing, and detailing, driving efficiency and quality.
