Job Title: Project Coordinator

The role of a Team Lead is to manage and coordinate projects from start to finish, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for preparing feasibility study reports, collaborating with designers to assemble design specifications, agreeing and monitoring the scope of works, defining building requirements, carrying out detailed design, reviewing and monitoring production of calculations, ensuring information for project costing preparation, providing documentary information, coordinating project contracts documents, dealing with day-to-day queries, reporting variances, and project managing commissions.

  • This involves working under the supervision of a senior or project engineer to prepare reports and review them with relevant stakeholders.
  • You will collaborate with the WSP SG Team to assemble design specifications compliant with employer's requirements and monitor their preparation to ensure timely delivery.
  • A key responsibility is agreeing and monitoring the scope of works with the Local iCRC Head of Structures.
  • You will define building requirements and purpose of use with the Local iCRC Head of Structures and the WSP SG Team to enable detailed design.
  • Carrying out detailed design to WSP and B Regulations standard, ensuring CDM, QA, and technical review, and sign-off by the Local iCRC Head of Structures, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • You will review and monitor the production of calculations, including QA, technical reviews, and sign-off.
  • E nsure that information for project costing preparation is completed in requisite detail and to deadlines, and keep the WSP SG Team informed regarding design progress through explanation of design decisions.
  • Provide documentary information via the WSP SG Team to assist in the preparation of tender documents, ensuring that information for tender preparation is completed in requisite detail and to deadlines, and keep the WSP SG Team informed regarding design progress through explanation of design decisions.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents (drawings and specifications) and review input from team members.
  • Deal with day-to-day queries from the WSP SG Team, ensuring that relevant information is available on time for construction activity.
  • Report to the WSP SG Team in association with the Local iCRC Head of Structures any variance between the works constructed and the design intent.
  • Project manage commissions from the WSP SG Team, using applicable project management tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good presentation skills
  • Mandatory Skills: Proven experience in the design of Building Structures with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record
  • Fully conversant with technical structural software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABSs, and SAFE
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential
  • Fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology

The ideal candidate should ideally have obtained British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, possess a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, and possess membership to an accredited engineering body with 14+ years of experience.
