Product Lifecycle Manager

As a Product Lifecycle Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of our products from inception to retirement. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders such as R&D, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure that our products meet market needs, remain competitive, and align with our company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for introducing new products and phasing out old ones, considering market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure product development projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Product Development Oversight: Oversee the product development process, ensuring that products are designed with manufacturability, serviceability, and sustainability in mind.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product strategy and development.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout their life cycle.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage product-related costs, including development, manufacturing, marketing, and support costs, to ensure product profitability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and after-sales support data to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  • End-of-Life Management: Develop and implement strategies for product discontinuation, including inventory management, communication plans for stakeholders, and recycling or disposal of materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: In engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in product management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of product development processes and strategies.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.
  • PLM Software: Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and tools.
