SUMMARY This role is for leading product strategy and execution in alignment with business objectives driving innovation and market growth while also offering strategic consulting to internal and external stakeholders It involves managing the full product lifecycle ensuring high-quality delivery and maximizing ROI through effective resource planning and insightful recommendations The role also includes mentoring the product team and coordinating with stakeholders to align vision execution and outcomes leveraging a consultative approach to foster collaboration and achieve shared goals ABOUT US Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health agriculture education and urban development in underserved communities in the global south We collaborate with governments social sector organizations academic and research institutions and domain experts to identify real-world problems and develop practical AI solutions to tackle these issues to make a substantial positive impact We have over 30 AI projects supported by leading philanthropies such as Bill Melinda Gates Foundation USAID and Google org With a team of over 200 professionals our expertise encompasses AI ML research and innovation software engineering domain knowledge design and user research In the Press ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Product Strategy and Vision Define and communicate the product vision strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company s overarching goals Identify market opportunities and prioritize features based on customer insights competitive analysis and business impact Product Development Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation and validation to launch and iteration ensuring high quality and timely delivery Collaborate with engineering design marketing and sales teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment across functions Team Leadership Lead mentor and grow a high-performing product team that values ownership collaboration and continuous improvement Set clear goals provide strategic guidance and regularly evaluate team performance and development Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related matters both internally and externally Engage with executives partners and customers to communicate product direction gather feedback and align on priorities Financial Oversight Manage the product budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively and aligned with strategic goals Track product performance through key metrics such as revenue ROI and profitability and adjust strategies as needed Consulting Provide consultative insights to leadership and stakeholders on product strategy market trends and financial investment decisions Advise cross-functional teams to optimize product growth innovation and operational efficiency REQUIREMENTS Candidates should have a Bachelor s Master s in Engineering Discipline or equivalent with 14 years of Product Management experience Ability to define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy Strong capability to lead mentor and inspire a product management team Effective in working with cross-functional teams to ensure product success Skilled in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Expertise in developing and aligning product roadmaps with company objectives Proficiency in overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch Strong ability to manage budgets and monitor product financial performance Skilled in identifying market opportunities and conducting competitive analysis Competence in setting goals providing guidance and evaluating team performance Ability to prioritize features and allocate resources effectively based on analysis and business goals We are committed to promoting diversity and the principle of equal employment opportunity for all our employees and encourage qualified candidates to apply irrespective of religion or belief ethnic or social background gender gender identity and disability If you have any questions please email us at careers wadhwaniai org
