About the Role

Do you have a passion for driving business growth while mitigating operational risk? As a Business Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing sustainable strategies that align with our company's overall objectives.

You will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and better understand their risk profiles. This involves designing, implementing, and testing controls to support teams in managing and reducing risk.

In this exciting role, you will perform risk and control assessments, deep dives within various product and technology teams, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Your goal will be to proactively manage risks to minimize the likelihood of major incidents, breaches, or non-compliance issues related to technology risk. You will record, handle, and report on risk incidents, and deliver data-driven risk reports to senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of IT infrastructure, operations, software, hardware, data flows, change control, and more. We are looking for someone who can adapt messages based on audience and expectations, define risk appetite, risk impact, and identify risk likelihood. Previous examples of practically interpreting and organizing complex data are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk and control assessments and deep dives within various product and technology teams
  • Design, implement, and test controls to support teams in managing and reducing risk
  • Record, handle, and report on risk incidents
  • Deliver data-driven risk reports to senior stakeholders
  • Drive effective implementation and communication of operational risk management policies and guidelines

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, operations, software, hardware, data flows, change control, etc.
  • Experience working with Agile and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
