Job Title: Human Resources- Benefits Executive

This is a challenging role that requires an individual with excellent benefits administration skills. As a Benefits Executive, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing benefits for U.S. and Canada employees.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Benefits Administration: Oversee and manage new hire benefits enrollments, benefits annual open enrollments and Qualified Life Events for employees in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Mailbox Management: Efficiently manage the benefits mailbox, addressing inquiries from both internal and external sources.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and manage tasks and communications related to benefits projects.
  • Data Reconciliation: Ensure the financial accuracy of health insurance premiums, generate necessary reports, manage data, and resolve employee benefits issues.
  • Vendor Liaison: Liaise with vendors and brokers to resolve ongoing issues and plan future projects.
  • Reconciliation and Payments: Reconcile monthly health insurance premiums and process related payments.
  • Detailed Analysis: Utilize database and V-lookup reports to reconcile new hires, terminations, and other changes.
  • Benefits Audit: Conduct regular audits of enrollments, eligibility, and HSA/FSA funding on a monthly or quarterly basis.

This role requires a strong understanding of benefits contract language and comprehensive knowledge of all relevant federal and state regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and Section 125 plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in computer and technical skills, with expertise in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel; experience with HRIS and benefits databases is preferred.
  • Project and Team Management: Demonstrated project and team management or leadership experience.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of plan designs, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
