Job Title: Manager, Reinsurance Financial Reporting

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our reinsurance financial reporting team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing financial planning and accounting activities.

  • Lead the reinsurance financial reporting team.
  • Oversight of reinsurance financial planning, accounting, and reporting activities.
  • Promotion and preparation of quarterly income statement packs and balance sheet packs.
  • Monthly/quarterly reconciliations including but not limited to balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
  • Support for legal entity and regulatory reporting work.
  • Preparation, review, and posting (if necessary) of journal entries.
  • Maintenance of effective communication with onshore teams and management of expectations.
  • Maintenance of flexibility in reports to incorporate high-level adjustments or structural changes from stakeholders.
  • Development and maintenance of process documentation.
  • Promotion of continuous process improvement and management of special projects.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Qualified CA with relevant experience or MBA in Finance with relevant experience in Financial Accounting & Internal Reporting.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge preferably on IFRS reviewing journal entries, income statement analysis, balance sheet analysis and commentary, financial planning & analysis, etc.
  • Relevant years of experience in directly handling a team responsible for running monthly/quarterly one-on-ones and annual performance appraisals.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Finance Reporting EFR, QlikView, Power BI & HFM/Smart-View, IFRS 17 will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a cross-geographic, cross-organizational, and cross-cultural team.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong customer focus and results orientation.
