Job Summary:

An accounts receivable specialist plays a pivotal role in an organization by overseeing the timely collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Monitor accounts regularly to identify overdue payments and determine the best course of action to recover debts.
  • Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve any disputes that may arise during the collection process.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment inquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts to prepare reports on collection status, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Enforce credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and protect the organization's financial interests.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel or external agencies as needed to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • CA/CS certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices is required.
