Job Overview

Procurement Specialist Role: The selected candidate will be responsible for international procurement of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials. Key areas of focus include vendor negotiations, contracts, logistics, customs, quality control, and international payment mechanisms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Purchase metal scraps from global suppliers through negotiation and contracting processes.
  • Manage scrap purchasing operations from start to finish, including documentation, shipping, and claims handling.
  • Execute international payments using various methods (Cash on OBL, Cash on Draft BL, DP, LC).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor global scrap markets to identify cost-effective suppliers.
  • Evaluate and validate vendor compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with multicultural teams for seamless operations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management is essential.
  • A strong analytical mind with effective problem-solving skills is necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment is crucial.
  • Fluency in English language is required.
