Project Scheduling Expert

Job Description:

As a highly skilled project scheduling expert, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of planning, scheduling, and programming of work. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading planning input on assigned projects, ensuring consistent and effective delivery aligned with scope, time, cost, and quality requirements.

You will provide progress and earned value reports to support financial forecasting and enable timely corrective actions. Additionally, you will assist senior planners in monitoring project risks, issues, resource allocation, and CPM analysis; support the project controls manager in keeping with industry standards.

Furthermore, you will support project planning, scheduling, and control inputs for estimating and tendering activities, ensuring relevant issues, actions, and risks are addressed. You will also promote a high-performance culture by actively participating in performance management and contributing to the professional growth of team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the planning and control strategies of assigned projects, including the development of standards, procedures, dashboards, and progress reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop strong expertise in project scheduling and proven experience with planning tools such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Microsoft Project.
  • Apply solid understanding and application of Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Techniques, and general project management principles.
  • Utilize advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating tools and dashboards to support stakeholder communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of project scheduling philosophies, principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience reviewing and ensuring the quality of junior planners' work; Experience with P6 & Microsoft project.
  • Able to mentor and guide junior planners to deliver planning outputs on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and typically 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in project scheduling. Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2) is desirable. Additional qualifications in Project Management or Construction Management are also beneficial.
