Job Title: System Scheduler Expert

 

Job Description:

As a system scheduler expert, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex batch workflows to support application functional batch workflows.

Our ideal candidate will have 6 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in Administration and Operations, preferably with IBM Workload Scheduler (Maestro/TWS) or similar.

Key skills required include proficiency in the technical capabilities of scheduling, strong customer service focus, written communication skills, and understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change processes & controls.

You will also need experience in developing and supporting system management tools to deploy, configure, and monitor servers and services. Additionally, expertise in Windows and Linux environments is a must.

Responsibilities will include developing new schedules and jobs in line with client Scheduling Best Practices, providing training and information to customers, building new schedules and jobs, making recommendations on how a job should be scheduled using IWS batch workflow designs best practices, and troubleshooting issues with the daily plan.

Success in this role will require an expert understanding of batch workflow and automation Best Practices, as well as the ability to give customers expert advice and training on using the TDWC and Best Practices.

  • Design and implement complex batch workflows to support application functional batch workflows.
  • Develop and support system management tools to deploy, configure, and monitor servers and services.
  • Provide training and information to customers on using the TDWC and Best Practices.
  • Make recommendations on how a job should be scheduled using IWS batch workflow designs best practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the daily plan and provide expert advice and training to customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 years of total experience with at least 3 years in Administration and Operations.
  • Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (Maestro/TWS) or similar.
  • Proficiency in the technical capabilities of scheduling.
  • Strong customer service focus and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change processes & controls.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux environments.
