Commodity Procurement Expert

This position involves strategic sourcing and procurement of materials to meet demand plans for new product introductions.

The role requires the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely updates to procurement databases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to establish strategic partnerships;
  • Identifying and driving cost reduction opportunities through alternate sourcing qualification and value analysis;
  • Developing and implementing strategies for market intelligence and supply availability;
  • Managing supplier risk assessments and mitigation activities;
  • Developing long-term commodity strategies and preferred supplier lists;
  • Providing NPI sourcing support and guidance on specifying the right component and supplier according to commodity-wise PSL strategy;

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, 10+ years of experience in sourcing electrical/electronic components, problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and experience working with global suppliers.

Required qualifications include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EE or EC);
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing electrical/electronic components;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Technical knowledge and expertise in sourcing electrical/electronic components;
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working with global suppliers;
