Product Leadership OpportunityWe seek an accomplished professional to lead our product development endeavors. As a Product Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish a robust product engineering process.The ideal candidate will be reasonably hands-on and able to take charge of end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies in collaboration with strategy, product, and business teams.
  • Serve as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, technical aspects of products, and process improvements.
  • Identify and deploy the right tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to enable product engineers to work efficiently.
  • Oversee product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed timeframes.
  • Own non-functional requirements (NFRs) for products.
  • Contribute to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.
  • Lead product development (full stack) and releases, including architecture, design, development, and testing within agreed timeframes.
  • Adapt and iterate quickly based on user and business feedback and metrics.
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in product development companies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Agile software development and management methods, including user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.
  • Adept at using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch, if they meet requirements.
  • Value progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers.
  • Hands-on experience with Typescript and JavaScript-based front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte, and back-end technologies like Node.js.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and experience building and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Successful track record of building and shipping features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications.
  • Good understanding of RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with observability tools to identify and isolate problems.
  • Passionate about working together with a team to solve customer problems.
  • Excited about teaching and mentoring team members.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • BE/B.Tech or any equivalent degree with 12-20 years of relevant experience.
