Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging role in data centre operations? Do you have experience in maintaining and supporting complex infrastructure systems? We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

The Data Centre Operations Specialist will be responsible for providing critical support for data centre operations, encompassing physical and remote hands-on services for servers, network devices, and storage systems. This role requires a strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage systems.

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of data centre infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and decommissioning of hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data centre operations, escalating when necessary
  • Monitor data centre environmental conditions and respond to alarms and alerts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients for timely and efficient service delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and inventory records
  • Adhere to data centre security protocols and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in data centre operations, remote hands support, or a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with data centre management tools and software
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices
