Job Overview

As a strategic leader in the organization's surveillance function, you will be responsible for ensuring effective detection and prevention of market abuse or misconduct.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise investigation of alerts, suspicious trades, and breaches to ensure timely escalation to compliance, legal, or regulators.
  • Develop, test, and deploy Surveillance systems; create a robust surveillance framework, SOPs.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and enhancement of surveillance platforms, analytics tools, and AI-based monitoring systems.
  • Mentor and develop the surveillance team to enhance their skills in regulatory and analytical domains.
  • Benchmark against global best practices and introduce process improvements and automation to boost efficiency.
  • Present periodic surveillance reports, risk dashboards, and key metrics to the Board Committees, and seniors.
  • Establish and update surveillance policies, escalation protocols, and investigation frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to SEBI, stock exchange, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Business teams for integrated risk management and swift issue resolution.

Key Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or related field, CA, CS.
  • A minimum of 5-10+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of equity and equity derivatives markets.
  • Knowledge of tools and programming used for analysis and report creation.

  • Expertise in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python.
  • Pro-active and result-oriented professional.
  • Detailed research and analytical thinking abilities.
