We are seeking a highly skilled Blast Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting blast loading simulations using Hydrocode modelling and simplified methods, as well as structural analysis using SDOF methods and FEA.

They will also conduct code compliant design of structural components in order to mitigate blast and direct impact threats, and interpret and coordinate blast requirements based on Security reports.

In addition, the Blast Engineer will contribute to the RD activities of the Advanced Structural Analysis Engineering team, attend client meetings as required, and produce reports and presentations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with dynamic structural analysis and conventional structural engineering principles, as well as a basic understanding of FEA principles and applications to structural analysis.

They will also have an understanding of design requirements for extreme loading conditions, experience in usage of various CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and good multi-tasking ability, prioritisation of workflow and time management skills.
