Business Finance Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Business Finance Manager to lead our finance team and drive strategic financial decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and enforcing the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive financial planning process that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create departmental budgets and ensure alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Evaluate financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Oversee internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and examinations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to support business objectives and ensure financial integrity.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems, tools, and technologies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • CA qualification is mandatory.
  • CS, CPA, CFA, CMA are a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of US GAAP and Indian GAAP, including IndAS accounting standards.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
