About the Chief Investment Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Chief Investment Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting investment theses, building high-quality deal pipelines, running rigorous sectoral and company-specific evaluations, orchestrating legal and financial due diligence with external partners, and activating our advisor bench to help portfolio founders win.

This is a key role within our organization, requiring strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the venture capital industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Thesis Development
    • Build and maintain a quality pipeline across seed/early and later-stage deals.
    • Develop and refresh thematic theses in areas such as fintech, SaaS, consumer internet, logistics, AI-enabled operations, etc.
    • Leverage your network to find non-obvious opportunities.
    • Represent our organization at ecosystem events and host founder circles.
  • Evaluation & Investment Committee Preparation
    • Run fast screens and deep dives on team, market, traction, and unit economics.
    • Build and audit financial models, scenario simulations, and exit pathways.
    • Draft crisp Investment Memos with clear theses, risks, mitigants, and decision checkpoints.
    • Prepare materials for an efficient Investment Committee cadence.
  • Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial)
    • Define diligence scope, select external partners, and coordinate data-room requests.
    • Synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations with practical remedies and terms.
  • Transaction Execution
    • Support term sheet design, valuation rationale, rights, and protections aligned to founder-friendly principles.
    • Coordinate with counsel on definitive documents and ensure clean close checklists.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons
    • Onboard companies into our advisor network and drive targeted support.
    • Track portfolio health and prepare follow-on cases.
  • Finance, Reporting & Operations
    • Partner with finance on allocations, wires, compliance, and record-keeping.
    • Keep pipeline CRM tidy and report on funnel metrics.

Requirements

  1. Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in venture capital or a related field.
Skills
  • Excellent investment analysis and evaluation skills.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of the venture capital industry and its trends.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
