As a senior cloud engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational health of our IT infrastructure across multiple clouds. You will provide guidance on future technological developments aligning with our overall strategy and leveraging newly available technologies.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide engineering and system integration support to help resolve complex problems in operations. This includes advising on future technological developments while considering our overall strategy and newly available technologies.

In this capacity, you will take ownership of incidents where the operations team requires additional expertise. You will execute standard changes in a controlled manner to ensure that all engineering-related work in new projects and implementations meets quality standards.

Additionally, you will collaborate with architect teams to ensure deliverables are tested and implemented in production environments.

  • Technical experience in designing, building, and deploying infrastructure, including private and public cloud services, networking, connectivity, storage, virtualization, and identity management.
  • Implementation of Azure networking solutions for enterprise organizations.
  • Building hybrid environments spanning existing customer networks and Azure.
  • Securing, managing, and monitoring Azure environments.
  • Experience building and deploying resilient cloud architectures on Azure.
  • Migrating and modernizing workloads from customers' on-premise data centers to Azure.
  • Proficiency in Windows and ability to learn and work with Linux when needed.
  • Experienced in using Azure platform services to create born-in-the-cloud PaaS solutions.
  • Building and deploying Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell/Azure PowerShell, and Azure Portal.
  • Configuration management and automation technologies such as PowerShell DSC, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Creating and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps (VSTS).

  • Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Active Directory, AD Connect, Operations Management Suite/Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure Import/Export, Azure SQL Server, MySQL, Azure Automation.
  • Hyper-V/VMware.
  • Active Directory.
  • Desirable: experience in AWS.
  • Bash experience.
  • Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Serverless deployment, maintenance, and associated toolchain.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL disciplines.
  • Ability to maximize knowledge.
