Senior Financial Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for coordinating with vendors to ensure timely payments and reconciliations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Coordination: Ensure accurate and timely payment processing and reconciliation with vendors.
  • Supplier Portal Management: Maintain the supplier portal by accurately updating vendor information and reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Billing and Payment Management: Coordinate with clients to obtain missing vendor bills and secure approval for payment.
  • Weekly Reporting: Prepare weekly AP reports and process vendor payments while allocating them in our company's financial records.
  • Financial Review: Conduct thorough reviews of vendor reconciliations performed by team members to ensure accuracy.
  • Tax Preparation: Chase W9 from vendors, prepare 1099 workbooks, and perform tax return reconciliations as needed.
  • Sales Review: Regularly review sales entries on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Tax Calculation: Promptly calculate and prepare use tax calculations.
  • Tax Returns: Prepare CRT/TPT/8027 and county tax returns as required.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Email Response: Respond to emails in a timely manner, typically within 48 hours.
  • Client Delivery: Deliver AP reports to clients on time.
  • Closing Deadlines: Meet internal month-end closing deadlines for financial reporting.
  • Training and Development: Train new team members and assist them in settling into their roles.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure that all internal processes and systems are followed.
  • Lifelong Learning: Stay open to learning new processes and taking on assigned new roles.
  • Professional Growth: Attend all internal training and development sessions for personal and professional growth.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and train associates in day-to-day operations.
