Lead Business Insights Analyst

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled data insights specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with raw data to deliver actionable insights that inform business decisions.
The role will involve analysing sales, customer behaviour, pricing performance, and other key metrics across retail and e-commerce channels. You will need to collect, clean and structure raw data from various sources, including POS, ERP, CRM, Google Analytics, marketplaces and social/digital platforms.
Key responsibilities include building dashboards and automated reports using Power BI or Tableau, tracking KPIs and presenting insights to senior management for decision-making.
Additionally, you will need to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, e-commerce, merchandising and operations teams to deliver strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with 3+ years in retail/wholesale analytics
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs, sales metrics and inventory data
- Experience with POS, ERP and retail analytics platforms
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Experience with retail forecasting and customer segmentation
- Background in omni-channel or eCommerce environments
