Job Detail

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Linux operating systems and providing top-notch technical support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Linux operating systems, including RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS.
  • Perform general Unix/Linux administration tasks, such as building and configuring VMs, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, system tuning.
  • Develop and implement Shell scripting, LVM, TCP/UDP, SNMP, DNS, NFS, ssh, sudo, syslog solutions.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, manage system services, and implement system hardening.
  • BREAK/FIX and release management, patching, and upgrades.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environments.
  • Detailed-oriented, self-motivated individual with excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills across various organization levels.
  • Customer-facing experience when handling incident response.
  • Experience working in VMware environments.
  • Nice to have: cloud administration experience (AWS, Azure, Google).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or training.
  • Degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with enterprise systems for monitoring.
  • Relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, Azure.
