Supply Planning Manager Job Opportunity

Job Overview:

The Supply Planning Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and driving the distribution plan from Mother Warehouse to 20 Branch Warehouses across multiple product categories. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, and analytical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Planning & Execution: The Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for designing and executing the distribution plan, ensuring seamless flow of products from Mother Warehouse to 20 Branch Warehouses.
  • Product Availability & Planning Frameworks: This role involves owning availability of 1,500–2,000 SKUs by developing robust distribution frameworks, prioritization models, and scenario-based planning to manage constraints.
  • Inventory Management & Policy: The Supply Planning Manager will define and monitor inventory holding policies and norms based on network lead times, SKU classification, and channel priorities.
  • Optimization of Dispatch & Stock Flow: This role requires optimizing dispatch plans considering FTL loads, promotional priorities, seasonality, and inter-branch transfer reduction.
  • Replenishment & Fill Rates: The Supply Planning Manager will establish replenishment mechanisms across all inventory nodes and ensure stock availability and fill rate ownership for all customer channels.
  • Slow-Moving & Obsolete Inventory Management: This role involves identifying and monitoring slow-moving / obsolete stocks and designing and executing mitigation and liquidation plans to minimize risk.
  • Stakeholder Management & Warehouse & Logistics Coordination: The Supply Planning Manager will act as a single point of contact for sales teams on product availability and predictability and manage demand-supply balancing for institutional channels and MTO orders.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: This role requires owning key functional deliverables, including S&OP files, stock availability reports, fill rate analysis, dispatch compliance, and rolling inventory projections.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have experience in Supply Chain Planning, Distribution Planning, and Inventory Planning. They should also have strong proficiency in Excel and Advanced Excel, ability to manage complexity of large SKU base and multi-channel distribution, excellent cross-functional collaboration, proactive mind-set, and ability to balance cost, availability, and service levels.
