IT Manager

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to oversee the management of our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. This individual will lead and manage desktop engineering teams, providing end-user support and ensuring smooth operation of desktop computing resources.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in software & hardware troubleshooting across systems and platforms, as well as strong experience in network architecture and internet connectivity. They should also be proficient in Active Directory management, including group policies, user provisioning, and authentication services.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will have project management experience, delivering IT projects on time and within budget, and will be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Additionally, this individual should have relevant industry certifications and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience leading/ managing an IT team/projects is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Oversee desktop engineering teams for end-user support and smooth operation of desktop computing resources.
• Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures for system security and reliability, maintaining compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC2 Type 2.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand technology needs and provide effective solutions aligning with company objectives and compliance requirements.
• Manage and mentor IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), maintaining documentation and procedures for audits.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations, within budget and on schedule.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Advanced experience managing VM environments, expertise in hypervisor technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Expertise in software & hardware troubleshooting across systems and platforms.
• Strong experience in network architecture and internet connectivity, including IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols.
• Proficient in Active Directory management, including group policies, user provisioning, and authentication services.
• Excellent in network administration, configuring routers, switches, firewalls (Palo Alto), and VPNs.
• Experienced with server management, installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, and Ubuntu servers.
• Familiar with AI/ML configurations (CUDA) for data analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Understanding and familiarity with GPU / HPC servers.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including threat analysis, risk assessment, incident response, and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with software development frameworks and languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) for collaboration with development teams.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure as code).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services (Azure AD, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
