We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Desktop Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for virtual desktop solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure virtual desktop services, Citrix technologies, and network design. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and ongoing management of virtual desktop solutions.
- Design and Implement Virtual Desktop Solutions: End-to-end solution design architect responsible for analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Virtual Desktop Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design scalable and secure architectures, and ensure smooth deployment and operation.
- Citrix Integration: Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud, with Azure virtual desktop services to provide comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solutions.
- Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration: Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
- Identity and Access Management: Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls, for virtual desktop environments.
- Network Infrastructure: Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, ensuring secure and efficient data transfer.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience, monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss, creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor virtual desktop infrastructure, identify and troubleshoot performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Several years of experience as a Cloud Desktop Architect or similar role, designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
- Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
- Experience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtual desktop environments.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Citrix and Azure technologies are a plus.
