Job Overview
SBL Knowledge Services is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. This is an entry-level position that involves assisting in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, providing technical support to staff, and managing IT infrastructure.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing hardware and software issues, setting up new equipment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of IT services. You will also be expected to learn hands-on, supporting the team with various tasks and contributing to the improvement of the organization's IT systems and user experience.
This role offers growth potential in IT support and service management, and we are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
- Assist in network configuration and monitoring.
- Install and update applications and operating systems.
- Support end-users with technical issues.
- Document processes and maintain accurate records of assets, issues, and resolutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Three-Year Engineering Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and provide effective solutions.
- Clear communication, both written and verbal, to assist users.
- Precision in following processes, troubleshooting, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IT knowledge, including networks, servers, databases, and security protocols.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for handling user requests effectively.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and diagnostic software.
