Cloud Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Team Lead to oversee mission-critical cloud infrastructure for global customers.

This role entails providing 24x7 managed support for these cloud environments, overseeing a team and ensuring customer SLAs exceed benchmarks.

You will work closely with DevOps and engineering teams by providing input and suggestions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with partners to find and realize opportunities.
  • Ensure customer SLAs are met consistently.
  • Resolve issues holistically by focusing on the complete problem.
  • Review tickets and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Oversee a team of Cloud Engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Act as L3 in case of escalations and resolve issues with a hands-on approach.
  • Interact with customers via tickets, calls, emails, and periodic sync-up calls.
  • Evaluate team member performance periodically and provide feedback to the team and HR.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in L3 technical support with a cloud-first data center or a cloud support services organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud, containers, virtualization, and supporting technologies and concepts.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux, MySQL, VMware/KVM, and on-prem cloud technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus/Nagios/Zabbix/SolarWinds/ManageEngine etc.).
  • Good working knowledge of Storage, Networking, Backup, Bash.
  • Excellent communication skills with clear verbal and written articulation.
  • Experience handling a team of minimum 4 people in this role.

  • Relevant bachelor's degree.
