Test Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation focused on data validation and transformation logic, along with hands-on expertise in synthetic test data generation.

This role will support the development of a Golden Model simulation in a CI/CD environment, working collaboratively with data engineers, QA analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.

  • Design and develop automated scripts in Python to build and simulate a Golden Model within SQL Server.
  • Create and validate synthetic test data using appropriate Python-based frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Identify, track, and document data-related defects and inconsistencies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong hands-on experience in test automation, with a focus on data validation and transformation logic.
  • Proficiency in Python, particularly in at least one of the following synthetic data generation frameworks: YData-Synthetic, SDV (Synthetic Data Vault), Gretel-Synthetics, SynthCity, DoppelGANger.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience in CI/CD environments and integrating test scripts into automated pipelines.

A nice to have would be:

  • Experience with GE Plant Applications.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server.
